Vintage Swedish Cityscape Painting
A colourful and charming unframed street scene dating from the 1940s and signed by a relatively unknown artist, E Olson. Painted in a slightly naive, but expressionistic style, featuring distorted perspectives and bold panels of light and colour. There is not much written about Olson, but it seems he was an artist and photographer active in and around Malmö and Lund in the 1940s - 1960s. Certainly, this cityscape is evocative of either town in that period.

Condition: In very good vintage condition with only minor signs of use relative to age.
